Customer Letters:

"Greetings Portabrace. Shafiek Tassiem here from Reuters TV in Cape Town. This is just a note to say thanks for your excellent service. In 2005 you assisted me in getting hold of a particularly rare audio mixer case for my SQN3 including the RM multi case. I have searched for this case for years & was told the SQN3 is discontinued therefore no production of cases. An alternative solution was getting a similar sized case from another manufacturer but the dimensions I was given did not match the SQN for a perfect fit. I’m in the global news business for 19years and use Portabrace products during this time so I trust Portabrace to stock or even custom make a case for any equipment used in the field. My research to track down this case led me to you and the advice you passed on was magnificent. B&H did the shipment and I’m happy. The case fits like a glove and it looks damn good too."

Many Thanks
Shafiek Tassiem
Reuters TV video journalist, Cape Town, S’Africa.

“Dear Porta-Brace, My travels for AFSCME have taken me across the country; and I’m happy to report that my Portabrace cases have withstood the test of time (and of course, airline baggage handlers).” –American Traveler

“Just wanted to thank you all for an excellent product… We have just returned from shooting three projects in Malaysia and Thailand. I suggest that you include in your PR material that the Shoulder Cases are also python proof. I also own a Quickdraw case and have just ordered the Carry-on case.” –Danger in the jungle

“I have been using Portabrace products for over a decade, and will continue to do so in the future. There are others out there, but none have the quality or backing of the people in North Bennington.” –Fellow Vermonter

"Hello Portabrace! Just a follow up to you about the HKP-3 I received today...... It's GREAT!! Thanks to your advice, the case fits my camera with a few inches to spare. The case has more features than I ever imagined and the workmanship is impeccable. I'm looking forward to using the case for many years to come. Again, without your advice, I no doubtedly would have chosen the smaller case which would not have worked with well with my camera and accessories. Please feel free to share my comments with the rest of your associates who sell and produce such a quality product.” –BH’

"We had just pulled in at about 10PM after a sixteen hour shoot and we were unloading the van. We had a rental camera and some other gear that I was going to take home with me to return in the morning. I left my co-worker and fellow shooter at the van and went to get my truck, an 89' 4-Runner on 32" mud-terrain tires, and pull it up the lot to transfer the gear. There is a rather steep drive from the main lot to the smaller lot atop the hill where we would load and unload. As I crested the hill to pull next to the van I felt a large bump under the passenger side front tire that I knew wasn't part of the parking lot. I stopped immediately and I felt my stomach drop as my headlights shined upon Dave's face about 20 feet away at the front of the van. All I could think was please not the camera. Sure enough as I rounded the front of the truck and Dave met me there, I looked down to see the QuickDraw case ( with BVP-550, 5 back, and Canon wide angle inside ) sitting next to the tripod ( aluminum Vintens ).The case was smashed down in the front from the viewfinder forward. I don't know if having the tripod next to it (which had a broken piece on the bottom of one leg) helped, but I was amazed upon inspecting the camera that the only damage was to the lens hood. I did have to bend back the piece of aluminum around where the viewfinder goes, but in all a Porta-Brace miracle..” –Florida Cruisin’

"I’m returning this distressed Portabrace Quickdraw case to you in hopes that you might be able to repair it. This case, along with the camera it cradled, was accidentally backed over by a van. Amazingly, only the camera directly under the wheel was damaged…and what’s even more amazing (if you had seen the case) was that the damage was only an $85 pin sheared off the lens mount.” –North Carolina Drivin’

“I am returning a Portabrace Video Recorder case to you for repair. Since I do not use the stiff board insert in this bottom rear area, please remove the Velcro in this area and stitch the opening permanently closed. This case is well traveled, with over 400,000 frequent flyer miles, which include three extended trips to Europe. It has proved its usefulness and durability from the August Arizona desert to the January Arctic Circle in Sweden. Thanks for making such a dependable product.” –Wear and Tear

“Thanks Ken, your service is a credit to your profession.” –NS

Yes… removing the clip from the waist band is the key!  Yet one more reason to love Porta-Brace.  I'm sure you guys get this all the time, but I've never been let down by the level and quality of customer service there.  -CH
